HELLO,how are you my name is EDDIE.V and I am all about jukeboxes!
I was born in Chicago and as you all know Chicago is the birthplace of Seeburg jukeboxes even Rockola was born here in Chicago I have personally have seen the locations of these once giant companies. I could only imagine how busy they once were compared to how everything is digital and can be held in your hands It doesn't matter to me because I love the way these jukeboxes perform I have always enjoyed listening to music then one day I found a box of some of my old 45s as a kid and a teenager I always made a two-mile trek to the local record store to buy my favorite songs then It dawned on me that the best way to enjoy my music collection was by storing them in a Jukebox. But getting a jukebox was something I never imagined having then to my surprise I remember that my friend had a jukebox in his garage and I decided to barter with him and take it off his hands previous to that I would remember all the times I would see a jukebox be it in the Happy days show or in movies as a prop or even being mentioned in a song like Joan jett, for example, put another dime in the jukebox baby how iconic of a verse that was for me so growing up in the 70s and 80s I knew and experienced jukeboxes first hand but I didn't know the history behind them but I always enjoyed how they performed their job. I loved the engineering behind them I loved the moving mechanism I just really needed to learn more about these pieces of Americana I know that when I got my friend to sell me that jukebox I found out fast how heavy and how much work it takes to move, fix and buy a jukebox so my journey began. So I had this Rockola that I put in my kitchen and it didn't work but that's a whole different story
I wanted to share my love of Jukeboxes and introduce myself and let you know that I will try to create an awesome online place for jukebox fans to come and enjoy the content dedicated to the Jukeboxes
